The Shanghai International Artisan Gelato Masters Championship kicks off hotly in the Gelato Pavilion of the High-end Food Exhibition under the Shanghai International Hotel Supplies Expo at the end of March or the beginning of April each year. Since 2014, the curtain of the Southwest Division has been raised at the Chengdu Exhibition in August. The whole competition is wonderful, attracting elite contestants from all over the country in the gelato industry to participate. Gelato, a world-famous Italian delicacy, is regarded as a classic among ice creams. In 2013, a dedicated gelato exhibition area was set up at the Hotelex Shanghai site, and the first Shanghai International Artisan Gelato Masters Championship was held, igniting the taste and vision of Italian gelato in multiple dimensions!

      On March 29th, at the 2021 Hotelex Shanghai Exhibition, the Shanghai International Artisan Gelato Masters Championship opened grandly! In just four days, from making characteristic milk-based gelato to fruit-flavored gelato/sorbet, and then to free creation with self-selected formulas, elite contestants from all over the country delivered one wonderful performance after another, showing the world their creativity, passion, dedication, and hard work for Gelato. The high-level entries of all the contestants fully demonstrated the rapid and high-quality development of the Chinese Gelato industry.
